The new Sustainability Declaration may now be simpler, but it hasn't gone away. Agents and Sellers will still be held accountable from March onwards with the real threat of hefty fines.
With a simpler declaration there will be absolutely no excuse for most sellers not sufficiently completing the form and a simpler form will NOT reduce a real estate agent's responsibilities in any way.
This declaration is only the start, with the Federal Government also running their own race to force home owners to become more energy efficient.
